so shortly after i had my surgery a friend -- we will call her Hot Mess with an emphasis on the Hot -- came out to me and told me that a couple years ago she had the gastric sleeve. so when i mentioned that to my friend Commando, Commando said: "i can see that. she has that post-surgery body".... now, i can't begrudge Commando because i knew *exactly* what she was talking about. thin on the top between the shoulders. illusion of straight down the middle (in clothes) and then wide at the hips and tummy. yep. 4 months post-op i am now sporting "that body"....sigh.
i hope i do not have this affliction forever. i mean, seriously...i am a walking, breathing queen song...
It's a lot like why the hell are my fingers getting skinny? Like I care about my fingers you know? I guess the point we need to focus on is that parts of us are indeed getting smaller....just each in their own time. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteyou (the general you) kind of lose weight from the outside in.
ReplyDeletemy mom lost a ton of weight and had that major pair shape look going on about half way through the process, but once she got to her goal weight, she looked proportioned.
I agree! We all lose differently. Some lose proportionately all over, others lose more in one area than another.
ReplyDeleteI just wish my boobs and stomach would go down more!!
Don't worry, it will come off....eventually!! At least that is what I am telling myself. LOL
Why did I lose twenty pounds of breast tissue before surgery? I liked my big boobs. I wish I had an answer for both of us.
ReplyDeleteIt sucks, but at least it's better than being fat all over.
ReplyDeleteI do love that song, though! It sucks, but I believe it will even out in the end. It's happening to me, too - the tops you sent are too big but the pants are too tight! LOL
ReplyDeleteI better not lose my boobs. Just sayin', is all.
ReplyDeleteAnd then there's the immortal wisdom of Spïnal Tap: http://www.stlyrics.com/songs/s/spinaltap14112/bigbottom388470.html
